Antique Solid Brass Fire Hose Nozzle - Early Firefighter Equipment - 10 1/8 Long. Few objects capture the spirit of the early fire service quite like a brass fire hose nozzle. This handsome solid brass example dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and exhibits the classic tapered "playpipe" form used by firefighters before the advent of modern adjustable nozzles. Built from heavy solid brass and designed to withstand years of service, nozzles like this were attached to fire hoses and used to direct a concentrated stream of water onto burning structures.
